Affiliate Earnings Disclaimers: What Reviews Actually Need
If your content touches money, investing, or 'results', implied earnings claims are the FTC's second-favorite enforcement lane after hidden relationships. A short disclaimer removes the implication you're promising outcomes.
How to fix it
- Add a results disclaimer wherever you describe outcomes: "Results vary; do your own research."
- Never state or imply guaranteed earnings, savings, or performance.
- Price claims should carry 'at the time of writing' language — prices change.
- Keep it human — one honest sentence, not a legal wall.
