JSON-LD Errors: Validate Before Google Silently Ignores You
One stray comma and the whole script fails to parse — Google drops the rich result and tells no one. Broken JSON-LD is invisible to the eye and to your metrics.
How to fix it
- Validate every template in Google's Rich Results Test before shipping.
- Common killers: trailing commas, unescaped quotes, a </script> inside a string.
- Parse your own JSON-LD in CI: json.loads() in the deploy pipeline.
- Re-validate after any template change — schema rot is silent.
